Somebody knowledgeable please add explanation of the basics mechanics, because a game with this level of complexity that provides limited information feedback is just plain infuriating.
What do Nightmare Eggs do? What do different types of rooms actually DO? What drives increase in strength of the invaders? Never mind abilities of different types of tentacles, at least those you can trial-and-error. But a LOT of the mechanics, though quite detailed at a glance, are just horribly obtuse.
