Knowledge

• Help with requests like Teach me. A few jobs in Gensokyo depend on this skill.

• Improve effects of Talk action.

• Help with question requests.

• If your Knowledge is too low, you can study in your room or in the library for a higher chance of resolving a question.

Ways to train

• Related jobs, you can find them in Hakurei Shrine on first half of the day.

• Eirin's job.

• Using Study on specific location with character that have more knowledge skill than you, like Eirin or Satori. Gives 2-3 KnowledgeExp to you and 1 KnowledgeExp to other character.

• Using Study on specific location with character that have same skill LVL gives 2 KnowledgeExp to both.

• Using Study on specific location with character that have less knowledge skill than you only gives you 1 KnowledgeExp and 3 KnowledgeExp to other characters.

• Forage in location when your Knowledge and Foraging skill LVL is low.

Speech

• Improves Haggling skill when opening your stall.

• Increases the amount of conversation you can have with characters before it gets silent (No SpeechExp and favor gain).

• Amount of talk actions available depends on your Speech skill. After you run out of things to say you need to pass time. Do actions such as [Serve tea], talk with another characters instead or do something else to pass the time.

• Without sufficient skill LVL, your character can only manage 2 talk actions.

• Help with certain jobs. Talking with characters raises their mood more.

• More chance of Listen to complaints succeeding.

Ways to train

• Helping characters with certain jobs.
• Conversing with other characters.

Opening a stall

• With farming, selling goods in stall is one of best sources of income.

• When setting up your stall - you will choose which goods you are going to sell. Various locations have higher demands for some types of goods. Rabbits from Eientei like carrots, Underworld demands vegetables, Kappas are addicted to cucumbers.

• Selling goods on festivals greatly improve the profits.

• It's possible to obtain half a million yen just from a single trade.

• Selling goods consumes a lot of time.

Combat

• Help with beating people up. Used on certain jobs and in Danmaku fights.

• Be warned: Hostile encounters appears after the safe period is gone. You can avoid their appearance by using TimeStop travel or during dates. Also you can run away from them instead of fighting.

Danmaku match

• There is no Favor lost or gaining HateMarks when you commit danmaku match, also you can unlock whole branch of achievements from it. After win a Danmaku match you got a lot of favor with defeated character or do "other stuff", but it's depend on character dialog. Stronger characters give you more favor.
• You can lose Charisma when you lose a Danmaku fight to random encounters.
• The basic idea is to roll dice and get the highest number.
• Both sides start with 3 lives, with the Combat ability determining how good the dice will be.
• At the start of each round the player can choose to dodge or attack (the player can only see their own dice value here).
• If the player avoids, HP will go down instead of lives.
• If the player's HP reaches 0, a life is lost. Once the player runs out of lives the game ends.
• If the player chooses to attack and they get a lower dice value then the opponent, the player loses a life.
• Only by rolling higher than the opponent can their lives go down.
• The player wins if the opponent's lives go down to 0 before the player's.
• Furthermore, the player also can use bombs to increase their dice value, use it in critical situations.
• When the player loses a dice roll, a bomb is automatically used.

Once the player loses a life the bombs are set to 2. Losing a life before using up all bombs is a waste.

After starting a round you'll get a message like:

You: 105 VS 5d22+16(Min:21, Max:126) :Larva

When enemy max dice is smaller than the one you rolled, you can use attack action.

If you are not sure - add bomb to attack action.

If is your dice value is too low and the enemy dice's Max value is too high - you can use the dodge action.

If you need help with Danmaku matches, you can collect various items like boosters from mixing or Spellcards from defeated enemies in that matches.

Ways to train

Training this skill consume your STA and ENE a lot. Be sure not to deplete your energy at mid of the day. Take a break: bath or eat/cook some food.

Danmaku fights give you a lot of CombatExp but is generally risky, especially at lower skill levels.

Helping others with job is also helpful. Example: Helping Orin with deal against vengeful spirits in underworld. Orin work for half of the day and five days per week. All characters have exercise in certain outdoors locations. Helping them with training gives you also extra favor.

Training outdoors in bad weather takes more STA and ENE per train, but increases your maxSTA and maxENE.

Additional notes

• Danmaku have a different branch of achievements. Unlocking these achievements will grant you bonuses in Danmaku.
• Good Grazing makes your dodge more effective. You will generally take less damage.
• Full Spirit Power increases your dice value after dodging.
• Extend gives you an additional life.
• Luna Shooter gives you one more bomb and makes your bombs significantly better (Will trivializes the gamemode).

Successfully completing Danmaku fight quests gives you a mysterious "Spellcard Bonus"

Some characters have unique dialogues after their win or defeat, including sex scenes.

Check opponent character abilities before fighting. Some of the characters' abilities make fights challenging, using various tools from mixing skill will help.

Cleaning

• Clean faster and better. Helps with "Clean room" requests.

• Smell Resistance will make cleaning less effective.

• The bamboo broom furniture will make your cleaning more efficient. It's one of the cheapest furniture in the game.

• If you clean your room/location, you will gain favor from your landlord, some money and Cheap Ingredients after each day.

Ways to train

• Collecting 10 types of panties reward you with 30 CleaningExp in achievements.

• Impregnating a Maid gives you 150 CleaningExp in achievements.

Additional notes

• Recommended to train this skill while using TimeStop because you consume TSP instead of time and ENE.

• Some locations get dirty much faster, especially crowded ones.

• Check starting location properties. When some locations like Underworld get into pile of garbage in few days - other locations like Scarlet Devil Mansion will stay clean in most places without your help.

As usual, one character in the location will clean their rooms. You can do the job before they do their duty.

Beware, getting high enough Abnormal Cleaning Exp have consequences.

Cooking

Cook better food. Skill are required to obtain new reciepes. Helps with certain jobs. Remember, do not let other characters to eat what you cooking with low cooking skill. They can obtain a HATE mark 1.

Food usage and recipes

Food are a good tool to restore STA, ENE and VIG for you and characters in same place. Otherwise it's generate favor for all persons which eat it. Amount of favor depends on score.

Good food is work like a bomb which can give joy gems to a lot of characters in same place. Job gems are required for intimacy and eventually making characters to [Yearning/Love] you.

Food can change other characters mood. <50 score can make girls (sullen), but score under 100 will make them (happy)

Also you got or loose a favor which depend on their opinion to dishes, which depends on tags which food have. For positive favor change you need at least 50 food score. Score being raised by your skill and furniture.

You can deny girls to eat dishes which they are unwanted. Just turn off the option in options menu.

Every character have their own different taste. Be careful about this. Feeding food with [fish] to Wakasagihime,[Chicken] to Kutaka or [Beans] to oni or vampire will cause a horrible result.

Most food required different ingredients which be obtained from gathering, farming, fishing, or cleaning. common ones just can be bought in delivery at end of the day or in shops. Grocery shop in human village have cheaper prices.

You can learn new recipes when cooking with other characters and choose [4 study] option in cooking menu. Most characters can teach you one new recipe. Some of the recipes can help with pregnancy or restore TSP.

At high level of cooking, mixing knowledge and music you can gather characters in your kitchen, cook food, serve it, serve tea and play music until they can eat again. Tea mixing adds extra fun.

Adding [Semen] is a fun joke which can generate a lot of favorability and reliability with characters which have at least two levels of SemenAddict, but beware. Feeding those dishes for others will cause more horrible results and you can loose most of favorability with most characters!

Way to train

When food cooking and especially utilizing have a much effort - just spamming with food are a lot of routine, especially at lowest level.

Daily helping with cooking jobs are the key, unfortunely characters which have a job with this skill are not at every location groups. Best job to train cooking is a help to mystia in bamboo forest once per three days. You can spend infinite amount TSP to train skill at evening in human village when helping myuou with work.

Music

Play better music. Helps you do not catch a stone with a face while perform, some characters are most likely to do it.

Using that skill requires instrument. When piano are being used in your room - keyboard and others can be used in all locations. Violin requires more skill to perform.

Performance will generate a great amount of [Joy] gems to a single person which active. Joy gems are needed for get favorability and [Yearning/love]. Otherwise all characters in same location recieve a good amount of favor

Performance with other characters assist will greatly improve the effect. You can generate [Joy] gems to daily reliability limit just in one/two performances.

Way to train

There is a two ways to train music 1. Assist other characters when they are training with sing/music. 2. Gather all characters with which can perfom at one place and make performance with them. The best location for this is Scarlet devil mansion with Prismivers sisters and Wakasagihime. bath kappa update is needed if you want Wakasagihime to perform in main hall with piano. At lowest levels you can perform only when alone or when yearning or love characters with high enough of favor nearby.

Generated exp which you can recieved from performance depends with two things: 1.Amount of characters which have Music/Singing skills and can assist you in performance. They are lost 300 ENE per performance, so you need to feed them or train them to make more performances. 2.Your music collection: You can find more songs when defeat characters in danmaku or making them [Yearning/Love]. Also characters which enjoy the performance - give you songs as well.

Music collection

All touhou characters have a music which related with them. You can collect it by getting [Yearning/Love], perform with them or winning them with danmaku. Group perform gives the biggest variety of songs, it's helps to get descent amount of them for performance/skillgain boost.

Logging

Skill to chop the trees. Wood is required for extra income, discount for obtaining furniture and completing some requests. Some of wood can be used as material for mixing. But on the other side this skills burn out a whole ton of TSP or ENE.

You can train your MaxStamina when chopping down trees.

You can chop trees when time is stopped.

Before chopping a tree you search for them then choose to chop it up or search another tree. Types of the trees and their sizes are randomly generated and the types of wood depend on the location.

After chopping the tree you can also obtain forage material.

Chopping up the log gives you wood pieces which required by characters requests, but when you have enough them - you probably want to bring the log to a sawmill, where you can sell it for a price or make planks from them. The price of selling depends on the size and type of the tree, and the amount of type of plank. Sawmill in human village gives more money for selling logs, but sawmill in YoukaiMountain(Foot) in same location when you chop the tree.

Planks give a great discount when ordering furniture. Price of furniture are fair enough - discount for buying them makes sense, Furniture shop can be found the at human village.

At some locations, you require permission to chop down wood. Permission can be obtained by getting enough reliability with the landowners.

Way to train

Great location for logging is YoukaiMountain(Foot) because you can get different kind of trees here for most expensive furniture.

Because the required STA/ENE or TSP is huge investment (probably can be around 2k or more for rare/big trees), the key is to pick a big tree for chopping down. Better to skip a few trees than spend whole bunch of your strength on small amount of EXP.

Fishing

A way to gain fish for cooking/mixing, tickets and other goods.

Higher skill improve chance to get rare fish.

Way to train

Use "Fishing" at locations with water. Helping other characters with fishing. Most fishing locations are outdoors forageable too.

Good way to fishing with friends. When you tried to fish with person which on a fishing activity already - you get less exp.

Fishing in Fall/Sunset or specific weather will improve chance to gain better fishing results

Foraging

Find better thing when foraging or something. A key skill to obtain resouces which needed in various ways, especially on cooking and mixing.

Collecting

Whole gensokyo are have whole lot of locations and places where you can harvest resources. List of all forageable locations you can see when sleeping. Also you can see list of materials on current location anytime. This action also can being used in timestop. When your current location are forageable - there is [forage list] appears in bottom of actions.

Forage actions cannot be avaliable by few actions: no permission from noble character(improve favor with Reimu, Eirin, Yuuko), lack of ENE, lack of ENE or TSP when timestop.

When using forage actions one of ingridient in forage list being picked for skill check.

When you get max amount type of resource (99) this resource will be excluded from forage, making anothey type of resources more available, especially rare ones. Example: You aim for a frog. Misty lake have 6 other common resources, mountain lake got only 4. You can get more frogs from a mountain lake.

Another way to use skill is a bug catching and using traps. Bugs needed for bugfight with another characters.

When more attemts of forage per day used, then less resources you obtain per once search. That's why recommended to use different locations. [Foraging List]

Way to train

At low level you need to find locations where you cannot find anything to forage, but got 3 ForagingExp and 1 knowlege instead. Then spend most TSP in forage. Best location for train in Dream world.

Mixing

Mix better with something. Helps you to make useful consumeable stuff: at lvl 2 you can have fertilizer for farming, at level 3 magic elexir and better stuff on higher levels of skill. Also skill gives more chance to characters drink mixed tea. For craft needs a [mixing tools]. Few reciepes can be unlocked by leveling up the skill, increasing favorability with same characters, example: Eirin. [Mixing List]

Way to train

Eitei is best location for this skill. Helping with work to reisen.

Bringing characters to alchemy lab with TSP and helping them with experiments. Mixing all reciepes:making tons of fertilizer, condoms and other lvl 1 - 3 stuff.

After level 3 you can collect ginseng in bamboo forest, fetch water and make some magic potions. Those potions will recover around 1000 TSP. You can use TSP again for gathering ginseng for making a loop.

Farming

It's not a skill, but good way to collect resources. At start you have only one slot to farm, but you can buy more slots in human village. Maximum slots is 5. You can grow at your [Kitchen garden] various about plants, including rotors. Most of them can be sold at high prices in same locations. example: carrots in bamboo forest or vegitables in underworld.

For growing garden you need to fetch water daily, You can buy a sprinkler from Nitori to make this process more easy. In rainy days your crops can be already watered without any action.

Every time when you plant a crop - you can use a fertilizer on it, which increase the final crop yeld later. Fertilizers can be crafted easily with mixing. Bone scraps you find in underworld and manure on fairy tree from hakurei shrine. In beginning of day you will be informed if your crops needs to be gathered with maximum yeld. Crops grows at slower rate in winter. Underworld is unaffected by weather and this is also applies on crops too.
